pleaSED to meet you!

I'm Cynthia Cravens, and I've devoted my life to serving the community, bringing a diverse background that equips me to represent the people of California State Senate District 11. Whether through volunteer initiatives, or in my professional roles, I've remained steadfast in my commitment to creating a positive impact in our communities.

My Passion for Community Service

My dedication to the community shines through my extensive volunteer work, spanning from the Marine Mammal Center to Episcopal Community Services and Hospitality House in San Francisco. I've served in roles ranging from a volunteer tutor to a longshore worker at sea, showcasing my adaptability and unwavering commitment to public service.

My Education and Professional Background

I hold a B.S. in Engineering from UCLA and an M.A. in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. My engineering background and program management experience have uniquely prepared me to address the complex challenges facing our district.

And, my longtime experience as a counselor at JVS (Jewish Vocational Services) has allowed me to witness first-hand the profound impact of bringing the homeless and other disenfranchised San Franciscans into a vigorous economy. No one will work harder to guarantee that our City gets back on its feet, both for those of us who live and work here and for our admirers throughout the world.

my Stance on the Key Issues:

Public Safety: I understand the pressing need for enhanced safety in our community. I am resolute in my commitment to increasing support for law enforcement to combat the rising crime rates, including retail theft.

Education: I believe in science-based education and parental involvement. I support the idea of informing parents about their children's educational choices and advocating for gender nonconforming youth.

Housing: I'm determined to address the housing crisis in San Francisco and throughout our district. I aim to promote multi-generational housing at various price points. The voices of existing residents and businesses must be part of this process as well, for only then can newly proposed projects make for a stronger community.

Fair Sports: I strongly advocate for the safety and fairness of women's sports, ensuring that only biological females compete in female sports.

Substance Abuse: I support "Treatment on Demand" initiatives, which require individuals with substance abuse issues to be in treatment programs before receiving additional public support.

Freedom of Expression: As a lifelong classic liberal, I am deeply committed to protecting our constitutional rights, fighting against cancel culture, and preserving the First Amendment's bedrock principles of freedom of assembly and freedom of expression.

join me in building a brighter future

I am the candidate who combines a strong background in public service with a clear vision for the future of District 11. Together, we can make our communities safer, more inclusive, and better for everyone. Join me in my campaign for California State Senate and help bring about the change we need.
